Fyrn is an innovative furniture company located in San Francisco. They specialize in making tables, chairs, and stools. Fyrn`s lineage can be traced to the 18th century when it was first established in northern Connecticut. It was named Hitchcock and was run successfully for 100 years until the Great Depression hit around 1930.

In the early '40s, a group got together to revive the business. One of them was Fyrn Co-Founder Ros`s grandfather. Ros grew up as a 4th generation woodworker. He had first-hand experience with – the art and craft of furniture making together with its distribution challenges faced by his grandfather.

Fyrn products are made of North American Hardwoods and patented metal hardware. They use hardwoods such as; Natural Oak, Black Walnut, Oxidized Oak, etc. The furniture hardware is made from Copper Bronze, Graphite, Matte Silver, and black. The leather seats are made from either Signature Natural Leather (S.N.L) or Premium Vegetables Tanned Leather (P.V.T.L). Each of the leathers has its own uniqueness S.N.L. are soft and elegant and doesn’t change over time. P.V.T.L can soften and change into a unique patina over time.

Fyrn Co-founder David Charne believes that a systematic approach to furniture design can solve some of the challenges in the furniture world. Together with Ros, who had first-hand experience with the hurdle of furniture distribution, storage, and servicing. They came together to increase scalability, availability, and the craftsmanship of furniture making while upholding the core value of the company. They both had notable years of experience building elegant, sophisticated, world-class furniture for well-resourced clients.
